Ready for Siding

Finally after meticulously enclosing the entire exterior of the house with four inches of rigid pink foam, we are about ready to install our siding.  The siding we are installing is CertainTeed fiber cement siding which is in the midst of receiving its first coat of paint at the highschool.  Before siding can be install, we must install all our trim and corner boards which will begin today.  Other items of note are: The main roof of the house is set for roofing to begin, our plumbing subcontractor has begun roughing in our sewer and water, and the upstairs interior partitions are complete.  We also have begun prepping for our interior slab on grade.  The students poured a small sample of concrete and will soon be applying one or two colored stains to the sample so we can select our finish color.  It is our intent to have stained concrete as our finish floor for the down stairs.

We would also like to welcome a new student, Chad, to our class.
